Hi All,
Joined this forum a couple of weeks ago, so an introduction is well due ...
My name is Johan Peijnenburg. Originally I am from The Netherlands, but have been living in the beautiful Swiss alps (the French speaking part) since about two years. For those who know Switzerland (or just like cheese ) ... I am located in the Gruyère region.
I've been "into" photography for quite a while as an enthusiast/amateur, but find myself dedicating most of my time to it the last few years. My main focus is nature and alpine landscapes. I however also love capturing local culture and traditions that make any region special. Although it is still a work in progress, you can view my work at http://www.niophoto.com.
I joined this forum to get to the great knowledge that is shared here and to learn from all of you so that I can improve my photography. I hope I will be able to contribute my 2 cents as well.
Cheers,
Johan

Re: Introducing myself ...
Good morning Johan.
Welcome to our forum.
I'm a little jealous about your location , Switserland is among the nicest places on earth with some extremes on the surface of a handkerchief. Luxemburg scenery in Olten, a little further Gothard, Grimsel and more, at the other side the lake of Geneva and in the south, again at 2-3 hours drive the magnificent subtropical climat of Ticino... I was spending lots of time of my youth in Swiitserland, especially in Ticino, and I would love to move there again one day.

Re: Introducing myself ...
Hi Stany
Thanks you! You are absolutely right. Switzerland has a lot to offer. I have a giant list of places I still want to visit and in a lot of cases I want to go somewhere again just to catch it in different weather, season or time of day
Ticino is already quite a drive for me, but definitely worth it, especially if you also drive up via Graubunden.
Cheers,
Johan
