The real size of this micro bug is approx 50-60% of the size on this picture:
And this is what I got with 24mm reversed on D700. Picture was taken handhold, with flash @ 1/320sec, cropped @ 50%
I pushed saturation with U point tech.
Sharpness isn't what I finally want to obtain with reversed lens technique, but it's a start...

I think that is a small cicada you have got there. Very small indeed. Those found over here are normally around 5 mm in length only. I shot one or two some time back and will post them up later..
