the last flying bee is amazing... did you use AF or MF ?

Hi Guy.
Thanks, yes I like it too, it's the first really good one after many trials for this kind of shot.
And it's with AF, I wrote a topic about the incredible Nikon AF system in another topic and on Dpreview. I took a long time before I mastered the Nikon AF as I wished, but now I'm coming close to my expectations... Also the D3/D700 AF system has improved very much since D2X and D200. I even found D2X inferior to the D1X AF module...

I can't believe the rabid goofball on dpr who said it was an easy capture, blah blah.

I have tried to capture ANY insect in midair, and its near impossible. The D3/D700 is in a league of its own. And strangely the D300 is pretty darn close :)

These are great! I think the caterpillers are gross though, but I don'tlike insects that much. The others are not gross to me and I love the nice green bokeh a lot!
