Macros and Close up

Post by James »

Well, there I was awake at 4:15 this morning not wanting to start work so I decided I'd take my Sony out for a play in the park, Here are some of my favourites from the walk. I have also decided that I need to brush up on post processing for some stuff I have coming up, these were all lit by the Mecablitz MC1 15 (ring looking flash that isn't really but works as a slave to all the big manufacturers flashes).

Imagine the shape of highlight bokeh this thing would give you!

All taken with an a900, Tamron 90mm and processed in aperture - the middle one was supposed to look like an old faded image, I'm trying a new style - on't adjust your eyes!

I also managed to capture (I think) Fruit flies yesterday, I think I need more than 1 to 1 though, these things are about 2mm long!

Feedback as always is appreciated!

I've been away for most of the month and only just read your comments Guy, thank you I think!! Can I trouble you to elaborate a bit please? I'm interested to hear more about what you think - I was trying something different with the first 2, I think that the ladybird is my favourite image at the moment, but the last 2 are pretty much unprocessed (the last is a 100% crop but that's it).
