A set of sample shots taken with D800 and 24-120 F4 at all isos and posted on Flickr by "generalaffairs92" .

A nice test and for sure worth to download some of the originals for potential D800 buyers.

If you want to download the originals

click on one image and click "actions"

after that click "afficher toutes les tailles" and "open" or "store" on your pc

As I experienced myself some weeks ago during the D800E demo at Art & Craft in Ghent , the D800 does extraordinary well at high iso. I wonder if you will see lots of difference between D800 and D4 in an A4 print of the same scene of an iso 6400 shot...

THHO D800 with D800E will be new and very remarkable milestones in Nikon camera history.
kindest regards,

Stany
I like better one good shot in a day than 10 bad ones in a second...

There's a LOT of CA in the bottom left hand at all ISOs?

I did not watch those samples seriously but I can imagine some lenses can't handle that resolution. I plan a tamron 24-70 F2.8 VC as main lens on the D800E, hope that combo will work...

That's a lens issue. One of the weaknesses of this allround zoom.

Did you see the D800 nefs from the polish site. Try to guess the iso value!

F/8, 1/50 sec, processed in raw, than reduced to 1000 pixels wide. I did not use Lanczos because CS5 doesn't have it.. No sharpening afterwards.

Iso 6400, perhaps even 12800. I guess high iso because I was using D800 already and I know it's fantastic at high iso.

Iso 25600.
Yes... Taken from the NEF file, used ACR 6.7 only. Nothing really fancy actually. Basically, its a 1/50 sec picture at f/8. Luminance NR parameters were all three set at 50, but the color noise was only 19 and 50.

Hi Sandor, thanks for the link.
Underwhile I experienced that D800 does extremely well at high iso.
