D600 release probability before PK is not 80%, but 100% if..

Post by AA2 »

The probability D600 to be released before PhotoKina is not 80% as NR reports, but 100% if nothing goes wrong this time (remember March 11th in Japan and the floods in Thailand in November which both delayed D800 release).
D600 will be available for tryout at the German show as D7000 was in 2010.

No information on that but I expect it to be 1599 euros.

The most important feature will be AF lens tuning. If that is not included, I will pass. Sharpness with larger sensors depends too much on critical AF tuning of the fast primes. Hope Nikon did not cut that feature out. Couldn't care less if there is no focus motor in that body, in the meantime all my lenses are either AFS or just manual. No D-lenses anymore over here.

The strategy behind a cheap body is to sell lenses and accessories, also expensive lenses, so I can't imagine Nikon will leave AF fine tune out...
