A few months ago I realised I had a problem with my D800 and 24-120 4 VR.
I mentioned it on Dpreview, here and here.
Since Düsseldorf headquarters in Germany seemed to be overwhelmed - at least that´s what I read on the biggest German DSLR forum...
And many D800 came back worse than before ...
... I also ranted about it on this forum about my problem...
I was ready to sell all my Nikon stuff, I was so mad, I couldn´t trust my D800´s AF the way I could the D100, D200, D80, D2X, D3, D3s out of the box. Never had a problem with any of my lenses or Nikon bodies before, that´s why I loved using them.
Notice I didn´have any left AF focus point issue, it was just a plain backfocus, but so severe I couldn´t fix it with AF micro adjust.
So Stany Buyle invited me to send my D800 out to him and he took care of the repair. It came back a few days ago and everything is perfect now. Thank you, Stany!

Nice to read that your D800 works fine now.
Nothing so annoying as a fail camera.
