28-300VR works very well on D800E...

Post by Stany Buyle »

During our 2012 vacation I tested my 28-300VR extensively on D800. The results were much better than I expected...

After I exchanged my D800 for a D800E early September, I tested again and I'm even more happy with this combo. Images are really sharp, also at 300mm.

Isn't this an amazing result for a 10x zoom?

The test report done with several super zooms as published in the latest edition of Chasseur d'Images(nov 2012) confirms the high optical quality of this super zoom(please read: compared to other super zooms). The test results the experts from Chasseur d'Images got out of this Nikkor 28-300VR surpasses by far all other super-zoom competitors, DX and FX and different brands.
