Firmware updates released for D4, D3x, D3s, D3, D800, D800E, D600, D7000, D5200, D3200

From the Nikon UK website:
  • D4 Firmware Update A 1.05, B 1.03
    This service provides software for upgrading D4 A to ver 1.05 and B firmware to ver.1.03. This software allows for simultaneous update of both A and B firmware to the latest version from any previous firmware version. If these latest firmware versions are already installed in your camera, you need not proceed with download or installation of this Firmware Upgrade. Current firmware versions can be verified from the Firmware version item in the camera's setup menu.

    Be sure that you have read and understand the terms of the license agreement before initiating download of this software from the links at the bottom of this page.

    Important Note
    • The firmware cannot be upgraded if Enable is selected for Network>Network connection in the setup menu. Be sure to set Network connection to Disable before upgrading the firmware.

    Modifications enabled in this version
    Support for the AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR has been added.
    Auto white balance performance has been improved.
    Images are sharper and appear more three dimensional.
    With live view photography in [M] (Manual) exposure mode, exposure preview was always on. This issue has been resolved.
    With shooting at an image quality setting of TIFF (RGB) and an image size setting of Small, the right edge of images contained a purple line. This issue has been resolved.
    In some rare cases, images recorded in JPEG format could not be opened by some software applications. This issue has been resolved.
    In some very rare cases, colours would change with shooting when white balance was set to a specific colour temperature, as with Preset manual or Choose color temp. This issue has been resolved.
  • D3 Firmware Update A 2.03, B 2.03
    This service provides software for upgrading D3 A and B firmware to ver. 2.03 from any previous firmware version. If this latest firmware version is already installed in your camera, you need not proceed with download or installation of this Firmware Upgrade. Current firmware versions can be verified from the Firmware version item in the camera's setup menu.

    When performing this firmware upgrade, be sure to upgrade both A and B firmware to ver. 2.03. Be aware that proper operation of your D3 is not guaranteed if either A or B firmware is updated while the other firmware is not upgraded.

    How to verify your cameras current firmware version

    If the latest firmware version is already installed on your camera, you need not proceed with download or installation of this Firmware Upgrade. The current firmware version can be verified from the Firmware version item in the camera's setup menu.
    1.Turn on the camera.
    2.Press the MENU button to display the menu screen.
    3.Select the Setup Menu.
    4.Select Firmware version.
    5.The camera's firmware version will be displayed.
    6.Turn off the camera.
  • D3S Firmware Update A 1.02, B 1.02
    This service provides software for upgrading D3S A and B firmware to ver.1.02. This software allows for simultaneous update of both A and B firmware to the latest version from any previous firmware version.     This service provides software for upgrading D600 C firmware to ver.1.01.     • Frame output size has been changed from 95% to 100% when movie live view display is changed to "Information off" and an HDMI-compatible device is connected.
    • An issue that caused the right edges of images to be somewhat white when captured at an Image area setting of DX (24x16) 1.5x with Active D-Lighting set to Off has been resolved.
    • When the camera's shutter-release button was pressed repeatedly for uninterrupted shooting with the "Record to:" option in Camera Control Pro 2's Storage tab set to "PC+CARD", the camera would stop responding with displaying "Err" in its control panel. This issue has been resolved.

  • D7000 Firmware Update A 1.03, B 1.04
    This service provides software for upgrading D7000 A to ver 1.03 and B firmware to ver.1.04. This software allows for simultaneous update of both A and B firmware to the latest version. If these latest firmware versions are already installed on your camera, you need not proceed with download or installation of this Firmware Upgrade. Current firmware versions can be verified from the Firmware version item in the camera's setup menu.

    Important

    After updating the firmware and confirming that the new firmware has been properly installed by turning off the camera, removing the memory card and turning the camera on again, turn the camera off and leave it off for five seconds or more before using it.
    Do not remove the battery or disconnect the EP-5B power connector before five seconds have passed.
    If the battery is removed or the EP-5B power connector is disconnected before the five seconds have passed, turn the camera on and then off again, leave it off for five seconds and then remove the battery or disconnect the EP-5B power connector again.

  • D3200 Firmware Update C 1.01
    This service provides software for upgrading D3200 C firmware to ver.1.01. If this latest firmware version is already installed in your camera, you need not proceed with download or installation of this Firmware Upgrade. The current firmware version can be verified from the Firmware version item in the camera's setup menu.

    Modifications enabled in this version
    The following functions have been changed with shooting using the Wireless Mobile Utility.
    - When the camera's shooting mode is set to Auto or Auto (flash off), it now operates in Auto or Auto (flash off) mode. Prior to this upgrade, the camera functioned in [P] (Programmed auto) exposure mode.
    - Live view can now be initiated even when the camera is set to "Auto" or "No flash" in GUIDE mode.
    In some very rare cases when certain memory cards were used, movie recording would stop, even when the time remaining display indicated remaining recording time. This issue has been resolved.
