I love the AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR. It's compact, lightweight, fast focusing, very sharp, works like a charm on Nikon Z and it is relative inexpensive.

The scene resized to 1000 px longest side:

and a 100% crop from an unprocessed picture. (no additional sharpening, like SOOC)
