Speculations about upcoming new Nikon products...

Post by Stany Buyle »

According to NikonRumors and confirmed by Michel Lammerse -Dutch photographer with excellent connections in Japan-, in a thread on Dpreview, there will happen quite a lot in the near Nikon future.
Next to the Nikon D3s (a D3 with movie mode and blazing fast frames-per-second-rate) there is coming quite a bit more. A 16-35 AF-S VR F4seems to be about 100% sure and more other things will come, Michel mentions a new tele zoom which I wish to the a 80-500 AF-S VRII...
kindest regards,

Stany

My wished 80-500AF-SVR seems to become a 100-500AF-S VR...

Post by Stany Buyle »

According to Nikonrumors, a 100-500 AF-S VR is coming...
That will be the ultimate wildlife lens... I liked the 80-400 VR a lot, but the 100-500 AF-S VR would be a dream come true...

I must say that the design looks very strange to me, it's more a lamp than a lens...

#1 why VR at 16-35? seems to be a waste...

#2 100-500???? hmmm that would be cool...

D900 coming?

Post by Stany Buyle »

It is quite logical that there will be a D700 successor soon, the first question is when. February is often mentioned because of PMA which will be held from 21st until 23th of february 2010...
A name is a second question but totally unimportant, @ least to me, nikonrumors mentions about a D900 because this name shows up in a recent bower pdf catalogue in the battery grip section.

More important is what characteristics it will carry, lots of specualition about that...
I go for 18Mp, 5 Fps, video, double card slot...

Let's wait and see... february is near...
kindest regards,

Stany

about the lens (100-500) this is a very old photoshopped pic and a fantasy... nothing serious about it...
this rumour is already there for years with the same old fake picture
