D3s: "Nikon-original FX CMOS sensor"
I just received an email with the D3s advertisement from Nikon. What took my attention is the text: "Nikon-original FX CMOS sensor"
Does this mean they finally produce their own sensors? If yes, this looks very promesing to get some extraordinary stuff in the future, also for D700 successor...
The high iso performance is a new revolution anyhow... Curious how it performs @ low isos...
Time will tell...

Umm, Yippie I guess
No better than the current D3 (maybe a hair, maybe). Crappy video in its first stage of Nikon implementation. The cheap Panasonic GH1 has 720p/60fps or 1080p/30fps with no rolling shutter issue.
And... oh, that's it. What a waste. Better to spend the $5200 on almost anything else. We all will wait for the D800 (24MP+) I guess. OR the D3x to get to $6000 (not likely).
