D7000 iso 200 > iso 25600: 100% crops

Post by Stany Buyle »

In this topic you can see crops of the original jpeg files as shown in this topic taken at the Nikon booth during PhotoKina 2010 cropped from what you see when viewed @ 100% in Nikon ViewNX2 and real 100% crops(*) of small sections from the original, full size jpegs.
(*) Definition of a 100% crop I found on photo.net:
"A 100% crop is a crop of a section of a photo at it's original (i.e., 100%) resolution, without any resizing/resampling."
:!: The crops and 100% crops are unprocessed with exception of resizing of the main crops to 1024px wide and adding "www.fotografie.fr".

:!: The initial 100% crops as viewed at 100% in ViewNX2 have been downsampled to 1024px wide while this is the maximum size on this forum.

:!: The smaller crops as explained here below are real 100% crops of the original, full size jpegs.
The 100% crops have been generated in Capture NX in the way as you can see in the screenshot here underneath:

You can download the original files, -jpeg and/or raw- if you want in the indicated topics. You have to register on this forum to have access to that forum section.

:!: You can download the original jpegs in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=58&t=916
You have to register on this forum to have access to that forum section.

:!: You can download the original RAW (NEF) files in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=58&t=930
You have to register on this forum to have access to that forum section.

:!: There is motion blur in the pictures until iso 800 which makes the shots look a little soft. As you can see in the exif the iso800 picture has a shutter speed of 1/60sec.
In real life I would use a faster lens or flash in this conditions. At the Nikon booth during PhotoKina all this preparation wasn't possible.
