Bad message for Fuji S3/S5pro fans...

I contacted Fuji Belgium if they still had S5pro available and if there would come a successor...
Underneath the message and the answer:

Rough translation:

"Dear sir,
We don't have this anymore and normally there won't come a successor.
Maybe you can still find one somewhere...
Kindest regards,
XX"

*** For reasons of discretion I do not publish the name of the sender.***

I do not believe that an employee of the Belgian Fuji branch knows what they plan in Japan, but @ least this message gives some indication that in the near future, we do not have to dream yet about a 12+12Mp Fuji sensor in a D700 body...

Geachte heer,

I've got the same message from Fuji Germany; however, he said that decisions are taken in Japan and with Japanese you 'll never know. So, there might be some hope left.....They never announced they were to withdraw from DSLR business.

I´m not an expert on Japanese corporate mentality (if there is such a thing ;)), but it seems as if they keep everyone in the dark.
Personally, I doubt we will ever see anything but compact, bridge, and 4/3-cameras from them in the future.
In my book they haven´t been able to compete in the DSLR market since the S3 ...

...and don't regret...

I do all what my S5pro could do with my D700 and better.
It was a very nice camera but resolution isn't upto my needs,...anymore...
