Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 is extremely tempting...

Post by Stany Buyle »

I'm currently reading the Dpreview-in depth review and the panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 is extremely attractive to me. The great video mode and the attractive 14-140 lens, nice body and good image quality looks like a great all purpose camera...

I was thinking of the G1 actually but bought the SIgma DP1 instead as although the Panasonic's are tiny for SLR type cameras they are still not quite pocketable.

They do look incredibly promising though!

Tested this on Vista 64bit, no complications, no compatibility problems, simple to work with.

an interesting package but VERY expensive... I am not sure many people will invest in such an exotic package...
Nikon and Canon however could react and propose a true video mode with silent AF tracking and a few other things, making current investments still usable. We'll see because as such the Panasonic is indeed a very interesting toy...
