PTLens, simply fantastic for distortion correction...

Post by Stany Buyle »

I've got this information from Kaj E on Dpreview in relation to a thread about distortion.
I downloaded the trial version (which expires after having processed 10 files, and I'm simply blown away...
This software just handles the most complex distortion you can imagine, unbelievable...
While I use Vista 64bit I downloaded the 64 bit version, hoping it would perform fast, and it does...
Here the link: http://epaperpress.com/ptlens/
kindest regards,

Stany

PTLens is a "classic". It works pretty well indeed, the price is reasonable and the good thing is that you can even add new lenses, just by sending a few test pictures to the author (see instructions on the site). It is a very affordable way to compensate for the strange (mustache kind of) distortion you get with the 18-200VR for instance. More professional packages like DxO cost a fortune in comparison (if you only need that feature of course).

I agree with you to say it is a highly recommended software...
