This weekend I visited the Tyne Cot Cemetary cemetery in Zonnehove-Belgium.
The result of senseless violence of World War 1 and war in general makes someone feel bad...
Thanks for looking and greetings,
Rudy.

Re: War heroes...
A sign of the little we own a little civilisation despite we think we do and how stupid we really are. This murdering on a gigantic scale still continues in lots of parts of the world in Africa and Asia. So sad that people thanks to misconceptions are willing to kill others.
I noticed a stone marked: "known unto god" to indicate the name was unknown.
Here, on the former isle I live, they recently started taking DNA samples of the people drowned during the flooding in 1953 and of whom we don't know their name.
I know it will be an enormous task, but I know there is taken a lot of care about these graves, but wouldn't it be possible to take DNA samples of the bodies and compare to the people who are still missing their grandfathers?
