To remember the horror of war...

Interesting region for photography, a scene in Rocamadour, close to Aradour....

Most impressive.
Although I usualy don't like the exaggerated look of HDR images, it seems at its place in most of the images of this horrible place. Well done!

Thanks for your comment. What do you people like the most for this subject, the color version or the B&W?

I prefer the B&W ones, safe for the last one.

Very impressive, thanks for sharing. It would be nice if you could post the first picture without HDR effect,
so we could see how much of a difference it makes.

I didn't know anything about this and searched information about it, what a horrible story, indeed horror of war (can we speak about a civilized world as long as arranging conflicts seems to be needed a war and mass killing?). Thanks for this interesting post and great images. The B&W ones looks sepia on my screen. I prefer some in color (the ones near to monotones) and others in B&W.

On the whole I prefer the monochrome versions but without sepia toning which does nothing to promote the mood of the shots. My favourite is the school entrance with the agressive trees and their shadow. I find all the shots a little flat and would prefer a little more contrast added to the middle to shadow tones.
Nearly all the shots lean to the right slightly. About 3 kg on the left shoulder should do it ;o)

Good collection

Very nice series.. Like the B&W ones too.. More feel to the pics.. Colored version a bit too saturated for such sad place...
