Is this fog caused by the use of a long telephoto lens (atmospheric haze) or not?
I would crop the bottom part of the image to emphasize the fog; moreover, it will make a better composition, because a) the bottom part doesnot contribute to the image and b) you avoid the horizon to be in the center of the image.

One of teh main "rules" in landscape photography is to position the horizon i \n the upper or the lower part of the image, at least to avoid placing it in a central position. Than the sky and the foreground battle for the attention.
And yes, indeed, I like this crop much better.

Me too, I prefer this crop. Usually the orizon put in the center sounds obvious if not even boring, when put down or up emphasizes the see or the sky, depending on which one is more significant in that specific shot.
