Very nice. Your images are telling a story...
Passioned by beautiful pictures, not a very active photographer though...

PS I use google translate a lot to write better English. So, if mistake, I's google, not me.

Hello Leen,
Topaz adjust is a Photoshop plug in filter. It even works on CS4 64-bit. It gives a HDR-look from one single image. You can download a 30-day trial version http://www.topazlabs.com/topazlabs/03pr ... az_adjust/

Re: Abandoned...
Number #3 has something to it...
and just for info, I got similar HDR like results by playing with the settings in Photoshop, I mean not needing Topaz...
This is an example with just one jpeg file using my settings...
(shot in Sénégal with the D3+70-200VR BTW)

Very nice processing. Looks only a little bit too flat for me. Can you please tell something about your workflow?

Here is an example of a picture before/after
I start using the shadows/highlights option in Photoshop (I have several versions, I just used PS Elements 6 on my laptop for this test)
I select the following settings:
Shadows +75%
Highlights +75%
Midtones (contrast) +50%
if you push too far, you get a kind of nasty halo effect
Then I go to the Contrast option and add between 0 and 20 depending on the picture (here 20)
I add some sharpness (+75% radius 1)
If necessary, add some saturation.
There we are:
Have fun !

Hello Guy,
I tried your settings and it works great! Thanks a lot for the useful information. Maybe it should be interesting if you start another thread about this.
I applied your PP technique on the underneath picture and I like the result very much. Thanks for that.
