A friend of mine gave me some weeks ago the Nikon AF-S 14-24mm to try for a day. I did some shots that I wanted to share.
I'm not a photographer, just want to have fun, I did not care for composition or so, I run after my work while there was some light still available, all shots are handheld and having with my dog running everywhere around me I was worried about joggers.

Number one is a very nice picture.
The others -while probably good for test purpose as you wrote-, I would delete.

1 and 4 are very nice.
