British Petroleum is destroying the earth...

Post by Stany Buyle »

... and no government does anything...

When there is a problem with money, -something we will not be able to eat after all fauna and flora has disappeared on this planet-, all world leaders quickly come together to solve this problem... Even very tiny little nations like Belgium spend billions to support banks, money that under while disappeared already in the pockets of some of the members of the board of directors... Dexia, Fortis and BNP just to name some of them...

When a big company ruins the environment of our whole planet with pure poison, and keeps lying and keeps making false promises about the way they are going to solve this problem, no government, prime minister of president does anything... They just keep watching this enormous disaster, and they obey to the economical giants rather than act...

I might sound naive, but I wrote a message to the white house, and I ask you to do the same, you never know it might help to create a better world for our children...
My message on The White House contact page:
To whoever might tread this message.
Let me tell you first that I am a real "fan" of Mr. Obama, just like I used to be of Mr. Clinton. During Mr. Obama's inaugural speech I was only crying, couldn't say a word... So happy I was...
Now, one and a half year later I see a big company ruining the whole world environment, all fauna and flora will be killed soon by British Petroleum , and you do nothing...
Every hour that you wait more to stop BP, -eventually with force-, will be the cause of death of millions of living creatures in the sea and on the coasts, and 10 million more dead people in the long run...
I'm crying again...
thanks for your attention.
kindest regards,

Stany

I can fully understand your anger; I suppose we all can.
I'm afraid we can only rely on the technical people who might possibly be able to stop the oil poluting the environment.
But, a little cynical, as you do know, marine life doesnot bring short term bonuses to only a few people.
So this disaster won't be the last one.

Got an answer from the White House admin...

Post by Stany Buyle »

Just got an answer on my mail to the White house administration.
If their intentions and efforts are as good as their public relations, there might be hope for humanity...

Dear Friend:

Thank you for writing to me about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. I appreciate your perspective as we continue to do everything we can to address this crisis.

The Gulf is one of the richest and most beautiful ecosystems on the planet. For centuries, its residents have enjoyed and made a living off the fish that swim in its waters and
the wildlife that inhabit its shores. The Gulf is also the heartbeat of the region's economic life. We are going to do everything in our power to protect our natural
resources, compensate those who have been harmed, rebuild what has been damaged, and help this region persevere like it has done so many times before.

For information about response efforts, how to help, or available assistance, please visit
http://www.doi.gov/deepwaterhorizon or http://www.epa.gov/bpspill/.

Thank you again for contacting me. I encourage you to visit WhiteHouse.gov to learn more about my Administration or to contact me in the future.
Sincerely,
Barack Obama
