Don't want windows 7 without Windows mail...

Post by Stany Buyle »

I use Vista premium 64 bit.

I use outlook for my main mail correspondence and windows Mail(not windows live mail) for my photography correspondence.

Now I would like to upgrade to Windows 7 but windows 7 doesn't have Windows mail anymore. Windows Live mail is no option for me.

Making another user to double the Outlook use is no option for me neither.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in adavnce.
kindest regards,

Stany

I originally posted this thread on Dpreview in this topic and I got the underneath solution by Dave Baker:
Hi Stany,
If you don't mind both email addresses using the same set of folders (inbox, sent items etc.), you can simply create a new Outlook account. When you send an email you just select which account you want to use (you can select which one is default)
If you want your keep your email accounts in independant folders, you can set up a new Outlook profile: http://www.freeemailtutorials.com/...tl ... ofiles.cwd

I just noticed that you are running 64bit Vista. To get to the Mail Control Panel applet I showed in my screenshot above, you will need to take the following steps:

1. Open Control Panel from Start button menu
2. Choose Additional Options, then View x86 Control Panel Icons
3. After that you can follow my original instructions:
4. Double click the Mail Control Panel icon
5. Click the 'Show Profiles...' button
6. Click the 'Add' button
7. Type a name for your new profile & click 'OK' button
8. Select 'Prompt for a profile to be used'
9. Click 'OK' button

Hope this helps

Dave
