Thanks for the link to your interesting article. It will be mentioned in the next Friday's newsletter. Let's hope it brings some interesting discussions and imrpoves our shooting methods.

i do fully agree with the things you wrote. But there is one extra point I would like to add. It allows you usually to rethink the way you were inclined to do the shot. A more careful considering usually improves ones shot considerably.
That is the reason why I always use a sturdy column in the studio. Not camerashake, but careful considering the framing of my subjects and a better composition.

Leen, are you talkng about the center column of a tripod?

It is pretty hard to explain if english isnot your first language.
I mean a vertical column with three weels at the bottom end and you move your camera (in fact two cameras) along the column up and down. I hope this makes it clear?

I would suspect that you might have been describing a installled system in you studio.
