BIF with D800e and 28-300AF-S VR
BIF (birds in flight) with 28-300 AF-S VR may sound strange, but it works better than I expected.
Preferring my 12-24 and 28-300 AF-S VR for travel over my heavy F2.8 lenses I did not have any other choice than to use my 28-300 AF-S VR during a visit at the falconeria in Locarno (Switserland)

Wow. I especially love 4 and 5. Very artistic and dynamic. On the eagle shot it would be a simple matter to clone out the ID band. Maybe later?

One more BIF with D800e and 28-300AF-S VR
One more from the same shoot, D800e and 28-300 AF-S.
Iso 1600, 300mm, 1/3200 sec and F5.6.
I was trying panning this fast flying bird, which gives a strange background/bokeh
Thanks for looking
Kindest regards,
Stany

The last one isn't sharp, Stany. But that's according to my extremely critical eye. Most would love it.

Thanks for your positive critical comments.
You're totally right about this one being the least sharp. The bird was flying fast which obliged panning and the AF of this lens couldn't keep up I guess.
But I like the picture...
Kindest regards,
Stany

Cher Stany,
Vos faucons sont hallucinants de piqué!
Vous faites plus léger quasiment aussi bien qu'avec un 70-200, 2,8...
Bravo!
J'ai moi-même un D800+28-300 et je l'ai utilisé en Antarctique...
J'avais aussi le D3s+14-24!
Mais le tout était trop lourd! 'too heavy'!
Bien à vous

Nice series but for me number 1, number 5 and number 11 stand out from the rest.
