Starfruit flowers

Post by lenz »

Starfruit is one of our local fruits that look like a five pointed star when cut open. It is sweet with a bit sour when ripe. Very nice to be eaten or made into juice..
These are their flowers, each measuring about 6 mm in diameter.
Taken recently with D700 / 105VR / Kenko 1.4x TC..
Sky blue background..

Flowery Red background.. Kinda like the abstract like compo but my wife feels it is too cluttered..

Leaf green background.. My personal favorite..

Thanks for looking..

I like the first one best! Minus the green "bokeh" on the right and it would be perfect ;)
Can you actually eat this flower?

Thanks Pam,
Thanks for the comment. That is a resize of the original shot. Wanted to crop out the green patch but then didn't like the portrait orientation.. Will try to reshoot sometime later..
No, we do not eat the flowers. Just the fruits. The fruits are nice though..

Very nice...
Passioned by beautiful pictures, not a very active photographer though...
Regards,
Vincent

PS I use google translate a lot to write better English. So, if mistake, I's google, not me. ;)
