Hello Brian,

Indeed a wonderful landscape.
Is this a picture out of te camera or is it postprocessed? For me it looks a little flat and the colours, especially the greens, don´t look natural to me.

Hello David,

Lucisart is for me an easy way to bring more detail out of parts of a picture. Like we agree, if used in a light way it still looks natural . I´m sure one can get the same results by another way, but it will be much more difficult.

Re: Book published with my 5D pictures...

Hello Dirk,

Stunning pictures. The light is so beautiful and the dynamic range so high. Your work shows me that a good photographer doesn´t need a lot of postprocessing.

Rudy

Re: I would like your opinion please...

Hello Dirk,

Thanks for your comment. I also like he second one most because of the more contrast and detail, especially in the water. For this picture I put Lucisart on a layer and only bij 10%, otherwise it looks too unnatural.

Underneath are originally two identical pictures, one has been PP normal, the other one has been PP with Lucisart. I would like to know which one you like the best and why. Thanks in advance for your reaction and comment. Rudy. Picture a http://www.fotografie-forum.be/fotosOpForum/RD20091010-1a.jpg ...

Going to the Moselle in Germany this weekend...

The Moselle in Germany is a very nice place for landscape photography. I included some pictures of 2006-2007 from that region taken with D2Xs and D200. http://www.myphotogallery.name/fotosOpForum/RD2007-Moesel1.jpg http://www.myphotogallery.name/fotosOpForum/RD2007-Moesel2.jpg http://www.myphotogall...

Hello Stany,

Very nice shots, good sharpness. Now I know your camera settings, what lens and PP did you use?

Helllo James,

I used a D3x and the Nikkor 28-70. Postprocessed the pictures in PS4 using Lab Color mode and added a little amount of Lucisart (10%). Always sharpen in the L-channel of Lab. Thanks for the comment.

Glass-works @ Rocamadour, France

On my trip to Limoges and Rocamadour (France), I visited this factory where they make glass the traditional way. This was my chance to take some nice pictures. I was disappointed when I entered the store, taking pictures was not allowed. Knowing my wife, she started shopping and showed her creditcar...

Re: Crupet(B) vist... D3X in lowlight...

Most of the shots were taken at ISO 800. I worked with NEF and postprocessed everything with Photoshop CS4. Worked with Lab colors to pop up, added a little Lucisart (10%) and finished with unsharp mask.

Re: Well, I'm finally back... (imgs)

Nice pictures. Like my friend Stany said they have a HDR look. I don´t know what´s your workflow, but the colors look oversaturated and the highlights are blown out. When you work in Photoshop, this problem can be solved with layers and masking the blown highlights out.

Thanks a lot for the comment. It´s what I wanted to do: to become a dream-like effect because the place is so beautiful. In another topic I posted them with the normal postprocessing. I think it´s a matter of taste...

Last week I was visiting Crupet, a lovely little place near Namen (Belgium). In The cage of St. Antonius I took a few pictures. There was not much natural light, but my D3x performed very well at higher ISO without noise. Hope you like them. Any comment very welcome. Thanks voor looking, Rudy http:/...

Re: Some pictures from Rocamadour, France...

Hello Guy, That´s exactly what I wanted to do here. I don´t like the overbrighting of the colors by the sun, so I wanted to eliminate them. It was a kind of experiment. This is no HDR. RAW processing was done with NX2, then color efex pro soft focus and glow. At the end burning and dodging with CS4....

I found a nice hotel in Rocamadour. Here are some pictures of the little nice place and the environme...

Hello Leen,

Topaz adjust is a Photoshop plug in filter. It even works on CS4 64-bit. It gives a HDR-look from one single image. You can download a 30-day trial version http://www.topazlabs.com/topazlabs/03pr ... az_adjust/
