I put my pictures on a USB stick and show them on a 42 inch LED television in my waiting room for my patients. LED produces marvelous colors and sharpness, much better than plasma or LCD.

Hi Steve, Thanks for your reaction. What I find interesting is that you mention Lucisart. I'm using Lucisart since 2 years now and I wanted to know if professionals like you use Lucisart as well. A question for Steve about HDR
Hello Mr. Bingham, As a user of Photoshop CS5 I want to make pictures with HDR processing. I´m used to work with Photomatix pro and I´m wondering if I can get the same result or even better with CS5 to make a pseudo HDR. I tried several times bur it doesn´t give a good result. What is the difference...

Hello Brian,
Indeed a wonderful landscape.
Is this a picture out of te camera or is it postprocessed? For me it looks a little flat and the colours, especially the greens, don´t look natural to me.

Re: Portrait by candlelight @ iso 10.000..
Hello James,
Only sharpening, nothing else. It´s really amazing how the black parts really stay black, without any noise at this high ISO.

Re: Just picked up my D3s...
Hello Pamela and Leen,
I will keep photography as my first hobby, but it´s always nice to take some film shots from my three years old little girl.
On high ISO there is a lot of difference with the D3. I will prove this in the coming days with some pictures!

Rudy

Just picked up my D3s, some first impressions...
Just picked up my D3s. I went for a D3s as a perfect complement for D3X for very low light conditions without flash. My very first impressions: Movies in very low light without noise..., this was unimaginable with my Sony digital filmcamera. I guess this camera will bring me back to my former hobby(...

Hello Leen,
I agree the shop interior is not the best. It´s very strange, but the picture you see on the forum doesn´t look the same as the one I see on my screen with the original pixels. The saturation and the contast is missing . Is there some explanation for this?

Re: I would like your opinion please...
Hello David,
Lucisart is for me an easy way to bring more detail out of parts of a picture. Like we agree, if used in a light way it still looks natural . I´m sure one can get the same results by another way, but it will be much more difficult.

Rudy

Hello Dirk,
Thanks for your comment. I also like he second one most because of the more contrast and detail, especially in the water. For this picture I put Lucisart on a layer and only bij 10%, otherwise it looks too unnatural.

Helllo James,
I used a D3x and the Nikkor 28-70. Postprocessed the pictures in PS4 using Lab Color mode and added a little amount of Lucisart (10%). Always sharpen in the L-channel of Lab. Thanks for the comment.

Most of the shots were taken at ISO 800. I worked with NEF and postprocessed everything with Photoshop CS4. Worked with Lab colors to pop up, added a little Lucisart (10%) and finished with unsharp mask.

Nice pictures. Like my friend Stany said they have a HDR look. I don´t know what´s your workflow, but the colors look oversaturated and the highlights are blown out. When you work in Photoshop, this problem can be solved with layers and masking the blown highlights out.

Re: Some pictures from Rocamadour, France...
Hello Guy, That´s exactly what I wanted to do here. I don´t like the overbrighting of the colors by the sun, so I wanted to eliminate them. It was a kind of experiment. This is no HDR. RAW processing was done with NX2, then color efex pro soft focus and glow. At the end burning and dodging with CS4....
