Swallows in flight with Z8 and AF-S 500mm f/5.6 E PF ED VR

Swallows in flight are always challenging to photograph because they are hard to follow and very demanding on the camera's AF system. However, for the Z8 with AF-S 500mm f/5.6 E PF ED VR, this is a "piece of cake." Some images with crops. The scene, exif and crop area: https://www....

I am extremely happy with my Z 180-600 to AF-S 500mm f/5.6 E PF ED VR switch . Combined with the Z 100-400 it is all you need for wildlife photography. From near macro to BIF and long-distance birds or wildlife. The 500 PF has an excellent or even outstanding AF response on my Z8, also when used wi...

Set Up an Emergency Action Button on Your Camera!

This is the most valuable video for Nikon users I've encountered.
It's a fantastic "upgrade" for a Z8 or Z9 wildlife photographer. I'll try it next weekend.
Thanks!

Canon RF 50mm F1.8 user review...

My RF50mm F1.8 arrived... :D Last Friday I ordered an RF 50mm F1.8 lens for occasional portraiture or snapshot in low light with my R7 as a compact, lightweight setup. The R7' crop factor turns it into an 80mm F1.8 which should be perfect for portraiture... Of course, I ordered this lens @ Audiophi...

EOS R7 with EF300mm f/4L IS USM-image with exif

EOS R7 with EF300mm f/4L IS USM-image with exif Technically this +25-year-old F4 lens works very well on my EOS R7. I use the basic Canon EF-R adapter. Image stabilization is clearly first generation but it helps while shooting handheld. Underneath image is taken handhold with IS on. iso 3200, F4 a...

Re: EOS R7 - in camera focus stacking - second trial

I still have to learn a lot about this camera and about the possibilities with in-camera photo stacking but the underneath result pleases me a lot. The image is a little bit cropped and after that resized from 4265x2843 to 1500x1000px for publication on this website. The number of images was set to...

EOS R7 - in camera focus stacking - first trial

I was experimenting a bit with the in-camera focus stacking of the EOS R7 and it makes a fantastic camera even better. The procedure to activate in camera focus stacking is very easy as explained here . https://www.myphotogallery.name/stany/20221212-AR7A1843-1250px-c.jpg A crop resized to 1000px wi...

Dragonfly in flight with EOS R5 and RF 100-400/5.6-8.0 IS

From this morning, a dragonfly-in-flight with my R5 & RF 100-400/5.6-8.0 IS. Shooting conditions were optimal. Sunny, no wind so I could go for a slower shutter speed than I normally use for dragonflies-in-flight. Slow shutter speed shows wing motion, what I like better than "frozen" ...
