NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S
released february 4, 2022
Ultra telephoto zoom lens
with a focal length of 100-400 mm for high optical performance and comfortable operability Nikkor Z's first ultra telephoto zoom lens covers a wide range of shooting areas. It effectively suppresses chromatic aberration throughout the screen, resulting in a clear image. The shortest shooting distance is as short as 0.75 m, and it is possible to get close to the subject. Also, when combined with the Z 9's "Animal AF" /Vehicle AF, you can more reliably capture remote, fast-moving wild birds, cars, trains, airplanes, and more. The "center of gravity movementless mechanism" that suppresses center of gravity movement by zooming is adopted, and the zoom ring rotation angle of the smallest* in the class allows zoom operation without picking up the lens. In addition, it suppresses self-weight drop that is likely to occur with a general super telephoto zoom lens, making it comfortable to carry around and take upward telephoto shooting.
* For interchangeable lens digital cameras equipped with an image sensor equivalent to a 35mm film size with a focal length of 100-400 mm and an open F value of 4.5-5.6 announced as of October 28, 2021. Nikon research.
