The R1 Kit Macro-flash, finest designed tool I've ever used

Post by Stany Buyle »

Christmas time... my wife made me happy with a R 1 Kit Macro-flash that she ordered (of course) @ Audiophil in Aachen, Germany for 467 euros. It came in perfect packaging with UPS within 3 days after the order.

This is the most interesting tool I ever got, as well for the way it's designed as for the photographi use...
This macro flash has lots of modification possibilities and screw-ons that handle in a perfect and easy way.
Also the box is extremely well made which makes it easy to re-classify after use...

Only thing that lacked in the box were the batteries, quite special...it uses CR123A batteries like an old filmcamera...
So trying out was delayed until january 2nd...

Thanks fötsibés(nickname for my wife), love you soo much...

Lightning possibilities this macro set delivers are just incredible, never anymore the lightbulb in the center of the dragonfly's eye or insect's eye.. Verry happy...
kindest regards,

Nice flash kit Stany, I was thinking about this a while ago - have you tried it for non macro work yet?

Very nice shot of the stamen by the way, that looks greater than 1:1 to me unless it's cropped, was that macro + TC/extender?

Congratulations!

These first shots were the 105AF-S with the flash kit, no extenders or TC's. The second one is a 66% crop.
