This topic is a continuation on this topic: Nikon 2x TCIII is simply an optical miracle.
I was in Blankenberge @ the Belgium coast today and the sun was shining , so it was the right time to do some more testing of my "magic combo".
First part of this test I called "Easy targets". I made approx 20 such pictures. The keepers rate for images that I quote as "decent" en better, was near to 100%
*Please take in consideration that I call this "keepers" for lens test purpose only, not to keep as a photograph.*
I choose 5 images out of these, some with a crop.
D700 & 70-200VRII + TCIII @ 400mm, handhold, iso800, 1/1600sec, F 5.6
D700 & 70-200VRII + TCIII @ 400mm, handhold, iso800, 1/1000sec, F 7.1 (This shot is underexposed because of auto iso setting max800.)
Underneath picture I did approx 5 times as separate shots, sharpness was 5 times very similar.
D700 & 70-200VRII + TCIII @ 400mm, handhold, iso450, 1/1250sec, F 7.1
and a 100% crop
D700 & 70-200VRII + TCIII @ 400mm, handhold, iso640, 1/1250sec, F 7.1
and a 66% crop
D700 & 70-200VRII + TCIII @ 185mm, handhold, iso320, 1/1250sec, F 5.6
